College Student Opens Business
A Sidney man is opening a franchise of University Painters for Piqua, Sidney and the rest of Shelby County.
Chad Dulin of Sidney, a sophomore at Miami University, plans to spend his summer vacation painting for the next two to three years.
Dulin will be offering his services for interior and exterior painting. He is currently lining up jobs and hiring staff. Dulin said he has already hired three people, all of whom have painting experience.
Dulin himself has about two years of interior/exterior painting experience. He worked about one year for Jeff Hoehne Painting and did some part time work for Bob Borchers Painting Co.
Dulin said he plans to begin painting the end of May and continue through late August.
University Painters, which generally has college students operating the painting businesses, provides training for the painters.
